Recently, Life Coach JP Sears produced a satirical video on gluten intolerance that gained a lot of attention and has over 3 million views on YouTube. In it he satirizes the latest food trend of avoiding gluten, as he discusses being difficult to please, placing high demand on others to agree with your food choices and feeling morally superior because of your nutritional philosophy.
While he addresses the topic of gluten intolerance in a humorous way he also reveals an aspect what what drives many eating disorders, especially anorexia, orthorexia and excessive over-exercise. He humorously points out that food choices may flow out of a sense of feeling more accomplished than or morally superior to those around us.
